Dermot Whelan announced last week that he would be leaving Today FM and radio behind after 20 years in broadcasting.
He of course was one half of Dermot & Dave.
While Dave Moore will continue to host his own show, there has been a shake-up in the schedule.
With The Dermot & Dave Show coming to an end last week, Louise Cantillon has stepped in to replace the lads.
She will be presenting the 9am-12pm slot for the foreseeable future,
Of course, Louise is no stranger to the radio desk as she hosts her own show on Saturdays and Sundays in the station.
“I’m absolutely buzzed to be covering this slot for the next week and a bit until Dave Moore is back with his brand new show on August 28th,” she shared on social media.
“It’s great, what a buzz to be asked to do this.”
Dave will be back on Today FM on August 28th with a brand new show.
Dermot announced the news last week, stating: “After 21 years on the radio together, I have decided to leave Dermot and Dave.”
“Contrary to reports, this is not because of Dave’s Bad Jokes! I actually made this extremely difficult decision because I have other areas in my life that I’m really passionate about and I want to spend some time really devoting my time to them.”
He will be moving into the world of meditation after becoming a qualified teacher. In 2021, he released his book Mind Full which was an easy guide to meditation.
