Louis Walsh has made some harsh revelations about last year’s X Factor, admitting that the judges “didn’t know a thing about talent” and that he fought to have Rita Ora replaced on this year’s series.
The Irish music mogul, who is returning to the series this year after a brief break from the talent show, didn’t hold back on his comments.
Louis blasted last year’s panel, which consisted of Simon Cowell, Rita Ora, Cheryl and Nick Grimshaw, revealing they didn’t know what they were talking about.
Speaking to Best Magazine, he said, “Sharon and I are old, but that means we’re far more experienced, unlike the young whippersnappers on last year’s panel who didn’t know a thing about talent.
“Sharon and I pushed for Nicole. We didn’t want Rita Ora. It turned into a fashion show. The panel didn’t have the right credentials. They were lightweight.”
Meanwhile, the show is returning to our screens at the end of August, and we can’t wait to see how it goes!
