Hollywood star Lindsay Lohan has touched down in Ireland!
News broke that Lindsay would be stopping here for two months to film a new project, and it seems her trip is off to an amazing start. The Parent Trap star popped into to Wicklow’ The Bridge Tavern for a bit to eat and had an amazing time.
And it seems so did the staff, and fellow customers, as they have been sharing their interaction with the star online, gushing over how lovely it was to meet her.
The actress posed with the staff for a photo, which they shared on social media, writing: “No … your eyes do not deceive you, Yes that is [Lindsay Lohan] casually dropping into The Bridge Tavern of a Thursday night”
“Sure the whole Bridge crew had to get a shot.”
She also stopped for a photo with fan 9-year-old Abbie Hegarty Dunne, and her, 5-year-old cousin Max, who were there for a relatives birthday.
Abbie’s mum Sasha gushed about Lindsay to the Irish Sun saying: “So we were sitting at our table and when the waitress came down she said, ‘Lindsay Lohan is here having a meal’. We were like, ‘No way!’.
“We finished up and my daughter said, ‘Please mammy can I go over and ask for a photo?’, I didn’t want to go over and disturb her so I said, ‘You can if you want, I’m not going over’. It took her a bit of courage to go over and she went and said, ‘Can I please have a photo with you?'”
“She was so nice. She was like, ‘Of course you can. Come on we’ll go outside’.”
Describing Lindsay as “so nice, she was all smiles”, proving that even though she starred in Mean Girls, she isn’t one herself.
Lindsay also had a kind surprise for one of her waitresses. Leaving her server, Tara, a lovely hand written note.
Saying: “Lovely to meet you. Stay beautiful Tara, Lindsay.”
She is currently here for a new film she’s starring in called Irish Wish.
It will be shooting in Dublin, Wicklow, Mayo, Knock, Ireland’s West Airport and other locations across the island during September, according to the Western People.
The film is a romantic comedy being produced by Netflix and will follow Lindsay’s character Maddie as she visits Ireland.
