Lidl has issued a product recall for two of their food items.
The supermarket is asking customers to return the products to the point of purchase.
The product in question is Sol & Mar Squid in Sunflower Oil, one which comes with garlic and another which comes with paprika.
Fears have arisen because the items may contain naturally occurring salt crystals which may be mistaken as glass fragments.
The affected batches have a best before date of December 31st 2023.
“Lidl Ireland is recalling two varieties of Sol & Mar Squid in Sunflower Oil because they may contain naturally occurring salt crystals, known as struvite, which may be mistaken as glass fragments.
“Point-of-sale recall notices will be displayed in all Lidl stores that sold the implicated batch,” the recall notice said.
Earlier this month Benefit Cosmetics issued a recall on their Gimme Brow product.
