Laura Whitmore shares a throwback to her MTV News days as she marks seven years since her departure

We can’t believe it’s been seven years since Laura Whitmore signed off on her last MTV News segment!

The Irish presenter began her television career sharing all the latest news on the music entertainment platform and continued her work interviewing celebs there for seven years. Since then the star has gone on to work in a lot more television, including most recently presenting Love Island, as well as working in radio, theatre and having her own podcast.

Marking seven years since leaving the MTV network Laura shared a sweet throwback of her “best bits” and she has been a natural in front of the camera from day one. Take a look!

In the caption Laura wrote, “7 years ago I left MTV News (after 7 years) and I’m still blagging my way. Always find the fun in what you do, life’s too short not to. And thinking back to all the lovely folk I get to meet on the way.

“So proud of the friendships I have in front of camera and behind too. What a joy!”

Celebrity pals of the presenter commented on the post with Una Healy writing, “Aw I remember that interview so well!” and Pixie Lott writing, “Loveeeeeee”.

With one of her many jobs now, being host of Love Island, Laura has an exciting but busy schedule, the star recently assured viewers of the show that she will be returning to our screens this summer amid rumours of a shake up with the show.

Taking to her Instagram stories after seeing an article claim that ITV bosses worried their “duty of care would be criticised” if she was replaced.

The presenter shared the story saying, “Someone just sent me this! My mind still blown by what I’ve seen written about me. I was sent out my new contract last year FYI.”

After posting about the story, Laura poked fun at the false narratives she sees in the press, posting pictures of an Irish beach writing, “Next there will be an article that I’m on a recce for a new Love Island location…#LOVEIRELAND.”

We are looking forward to the next season of the reality show, roll on summer!
