Kingfishr surprise couple on their wedding day

Ah, we just love Ireland!

Irish artists will go above and beyond for their fans.

And Kingfishr proved that as they suited up and performed at a fans wedding this week.

A groom had asked for an MP3 of their new single Next to me as he prepared for his big day.

However, the band did one better as they hopped in the car and played the song live at their wedding yesterday – suits and all – following a four-hour drive!

The lads shared the video of them heading to the wedding with the caption: “Someone messaged us on the weekend, asking if we could send them the new tune so they could have it as their first dance.

“So we jumped in as the wedding band. Congrats Pete & Lauren.”

Imagine being a guest at that wedding!

The band have a smash hit number one single with the 4 x Platinum ‘Killeagh’,  plus they are set to play two headline shows at Dublin’s 3Arena, and 100 million+ streams.

They also have a sold out summer tour in ireland including two shows at Live at the Marquee. They will release their debut album Halcyon on 22nd August.

Speaking about their upcoming album they said: “Halcyon’is the culmination of three years’ work, though most of the time it hasn’t felt like it.

“We grew up in different parts of rural Ireland though the band itself was born on a dairy farm in Tipperary.  The songs were written in a small kitchen where generations of farmers became singers and storytellers when the work was done. The name ‘Halcyon’ is a nod to the landscape and heritage that has moulded our music, even though the songs don’t all come from a happy or peaceful place.

“We’re so proud of all of this. Thank you for being a part of it. On and up!”

We can’t wait to listen!
