The quiet drama premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year.

The film also stars  Joel Edgerton, Felicity Jones and William H. Macy.

Netflix revealed the logline for the film: “Based on Denis Johnson’s beloved novella, Train Dreams is the moving portrait of Robert Grainier, a logger and railroad worker who leads a life of unexpected depth and beauty in the rapidly-changing America of the early 20th Century.”

The novella follows Robert as he experiences love and loss in the lonely landscape of rural America.

It looks like Netflix is going for Oscar gold as the film is directed by Clint Bentley, Academy Award-nominated co-writer of Sing Sing.

Clint reunited with his Sing Sing writer Greg Kwedar to adapt the classic novella.

The film will be released in prime time Oscar season coming out in select theatres in November before landing on Netflix on 21st November.
