Boxing Olympic Gold medalist Kellie Harrington has confirmed her engagement and announced when she is getting married all in one post.
The Olympian revealed that she now understands the stress of wedding planning on her Instagram stories, explaining to followers that she is getting married in three months and has nothing sorted.
“Wedding planning for a wedding that is three months away is definitely STRESSFUL,” she wrote.
“No venue, not a stitch of clothes, not knowing who to invite or where to bloody start. When people said planning a wedding was stressful I never believed it till now,” she continued.
She then said that herself and her long-term girlfriend Mandy Loughlin are used to working under pressure.

Back in August, Mandy shared her pride after Kellie won the Gold in the Tokyo Olympics. Chatting on the Ryan Tubridy Show on RTÉ Radio, Mandy said that Kellie has it all, something that’s rare to find in one person.

“She brings 110% to whatever she does. She brings the craic, she brings passion and excitement. If you meet Kellie and you are talking to her, she just makes you want to be a better person.”
Mandy went on to say that she rarely watches any of Kellie’s fights, as she finds it too difficult. However, she says that Kellie’s Olympic journey has been “like a dream unfolding from day to day”, and she even went to Kellie’s Portland Row for her final saying the atmosphere was “just magical”.
Kellie and Mandy first met 13 years ago in Bray boxing club, and now they are heading down the aisle! How cute.
