Keith Duffy opened up to followers, after his daughter Mia’s social media was hacked.
Warning followers that someone was using Mia’s account to send messages, and they weren’t to be trusted.
Taking to Instagram, he wrote: “URGENT. To anyone who received a message from my daughter Mia’s account, please be aware her account has been hacked and scammers are sending messages pretending to be her.”
“Please report and ignore all messages.”
The Boyzone star admitted that the incident had caused a lot of upset as Mia is a very private person.
“Mia is very private and this has really upset her and caused a lot of stress and anxiety,” he wrote.
He also shared a picture of the now-hacked account, and the tactics it appears to be using to scam people.

The singer received plenty of support in the comment section.
One fan wrote: “Hope Mia is ok some people will stop at nothing.”
While another said: “Aww bless her it must have been very frightening to have this happen. I was scammed recently and it certainly shakes you up and makes you question everyone.”
And a third commented: “I hope Mia is ok, Scammers target everyone, no one is safe from them x I will report it if I should receive a message x”
