The Irish fighter admitted she was incredibly emotional in the week following her surprising loss.

“I was very disappointed. It was the lowest point of my career.

“I just had to pick myself back up and get on with it. I took a few weeks off. I had a nice holiday and now I’m happy to be back training.”

Almost straight from the plane from America where she undertook an intensive four week training camp, Irish Olympic boxer Katie Taylor arrived to Scoil Iosef Naofa in Roscrea this morning to lead a very special training session with 24 lucky national school students.

Katie, as part of P&G’s Thank You Mum campaign, visited Scoil Iosef Naofa in Corville today. Jack Ryan, a local seven year old boy, won the P&G Olympics competition in association with Supervalu offering schools and clubs nationwide the opportunity to win a once in a lifetime prize, a training session with Katie Taylor.
