Kathryn Thomas has opened up on the development of her wedding plans. The tv and radio presenter is currently just enjoying being engaged, but has had some ideas for her nuptials to restauranteur Padraig McLoughlin.
The Operation Transformation host previously spoke about the possibility of having an abroad wedding, but nothing has been decided yet. Kathryn did reveal however, that if herself and her hubby-to-be choose to go overseas, she will do all of the planning.
Speaking to VIP Magazine she said, “I love planning trips, so when it comes to planning the wedding we still haven’t decided home or abroad.
“There are pros and cons for both, we’re kind of pushing that out, it’s 2018 so I’m kind of more interested in booking a few nice holidays rather than getting bogged down, because everyone says once you start with the planning of the wedding it’s just relentless.
“I’m kind of saying to him, I do holidays really well so if you want to plan the wedding I’ll plan the honeymoon. So if we agree to do it abroad I’ll take it all on, which is why he’s pushing to do it abroad!”
Although she doesn’t know any of the specific details just yet, the 38-year-old said that the main priority for her is that the day is just one big party, full of fun.
“My ethos on the whole day is it has to be good craic, it’s not stuffy and everyone has a great time and the craic is good. I’m not really into the white tablecloth and the bows on the back of chairs and all of that stuff, so I think something that’s very stripped back is where my head is at,” she said.
