Kathryn Thomas has been a mainstay on Irish television for two decades.
But as VIP Magazine sits down with her to chat for our December issue she reveals that she certainly didn’t always feel like a natural in front of the camera.
“I definitely faked it until I made it in my 20s and 30s, but now as a woman and mother in my 40s, I just couldn’t be arsed faking it anymore,” she shares with us after out cover photoshoot.
“I am confident in my own broadcasting abilities, I am confident enough in myself as a woman, that’s not to say I don’t doubt myself, I do, of course.”
As she should be! She’s truly a legend.

Another huge part of her life are her two young girls, Ellie and Grace. They join us for the photoshoot and certainly take after their mother in star quality.
Speaking about motherhood, she tells us: “It is definitely, and has been, the most special part of my life, but does motherhood define me as a person? No. I mean, people say motherhood changed them. Motherhood changed my life, but it didn’t necessarily change me.
“The lust for life that I have, the lust for adventures, my work, and my friends, still exists. I still get so much energy from the exciting things I get to do because of the road, or the path, my life has taken me down. Part of that journey has been having my amazing children and meeting my amazing husband, but there’s a lot more to the road trip than that!
“You know what I mean? They are definitely the best part, but they’re not the only part!”
