Kathryn Thomas has revealed that she was nervous about taking over from Ray D’Arcy’s RTE One radio show.
The Operation Transformation host is currently filling in for Ray while he is on holidays, and says she felt pressure to get it right.
“I did feel nervous at first, they’ve built a show and Ray is great at what he does,” she told the Mirror.
“You’re handed the reigns for a small amount of time and you want to make sure you don’t make a balls of it.”
Kathryn added that she and Ray have a different way of doing things.
“While at the same time it’s important to put your own stamp on it, myself and Ray are totally different people, I’d have a female perspective on a lot of things and I would interview differently.
“So you’ve got to be conscious of that and it’s a great opportunity,”
The blonde bride-to-be added that she would love to work on the air more.
“I’m naturally an inquisitive person so hearing people’s life stories on what they’ve come through and where they’ve come from that’s what I love, I’m curious by nature.”
“The subject matter is so different from one week to the next you could be talking about anything and everything, I’d love to do more radio.”
We would love to have Kathryn on the airwaves permanently!
