Katherine Lynch has opened up about her experience on Dancing with the Stars, admitting that she wanted to leave towards the end.
The funny woman was booted off the show half way through the series but, unlike many constants who would have loved to stay until the end, Katherine says that she was ready to leave, as it was all getting too competitive for her.
“By the end, though, I wanted to leave because it was getting too competitive backstage.” she told the Irish Independent. “I was just there for the craic, really – there was a glitterball to be won but what can you actually do with that? For me, the memories and the friendships are far more important.”
Katherine also said that she believes DWTS’ public votes were influenced by factors other than the contestant’s dancing ability.
“Thalia Heffernan and Des Bishop shouldn’t have gone out so early, but then they don’t have parishes behind them. I do.” she said.
