Des Cahill has spoken about his impressive weight loss following his stint on Dancing with the Stars Ireland.
The Sunday Game presenter competed in the first series of the RTE show with dance partner Karen Byrne, and reveals that he has kept up his healthier lifestyle since he was eliminated back in March.
Speaking to the RTE Guide, the 57-year-old said, “I remember saying to you that I’d have the weight put back on before The Sunday Game returned. But Karen has been bringing me to the gym and I’ve kept the whole thing going.”
The Dalkey man transformed his figure throughout his weeks on the show, in which he thrilled the nation and became known as Dancing Dessie. He admits that his new slimmed down frame has people asking him for weight loss tips.
“I had to buy a new suit straight afterwards. I looked like an ill man in my old suits. I lost a lot of weight off my chest, which is unusual for a man my age.
“It’s extraordinary the number of in relation to their husbands.” he admitted.
