It’s safe to say that might be the cutest engagement we’ve seen in a long time.
And it’s not just because a dog was involved.
Jake Carter shared the romantic moment that he got down on bended knee to ask Karen Byrne to marry him.
“Here’s to forever…” Jake captioned the video that saw him walk onto the Dancing with the Stars dancefloor where he and Karen first met.
The couple were paired up on the competition in 2018 where they ultimately went on to win and lift the Glitterball.
Karen was told that they wanted to film her handing over the Glitterball trophy after she won it last year with Jason Smyth. What was really planned was much more special.
Jake appeared on the dancefloor to a perplexed Karen with their beloved dog, Lenny.
“Seven years ago, we met on this dancefloor. And both of our lives changed forever,” Jake said before dropping onto one knee.

“It was the perfect place to come back and ask you, Karen, will you marry me?”
Karen, of course, said yes – tearfully.
They were met with the sweetest comments, former DWTS champ Carl Mullan wrote: “OH MY GOD. Ah this is just class @jakecartermusic & @karendwts massive congrats to you both.”
“Omg!! This is just amazing! The best news!! Massive congratulations Karen & Jake,” Suzanne Jackson commented.
Karen’s fellow judge added Arthur Gouroulian added: “J’ADORE. Congratulations you guys.”
