Jordan Dargan is “gutted” that he won’t make the final of Dancing with the Stars.
After finding himself in the dance-off for the third time, it was the end of the road for The Apprentice star. He went up against Tolü Makay on Sunday night.
All four judges were left in a difficult decision as they had to send one person home. But ultimately Tolü joined Katelyn Cummins, Eric Roberts and Paudie Moloney in the final.
Speaking to VIP Magazine after the semi-final, Jordan tells us: “I wasn’t going to say, ‘Oh, I’m delighted I got this far’. I gave everything I had. I think when you put your all into it, whatever way it goes, you’re going to feel your emotions a bit more. I left everything I had out there.”

But he can definitely hold his head high after an incredible 10 weeks in the dance competition.
“I learned that even if something isn’t perfect, if you put your heart into it and you genuinely just go out believing that you are enough and the version of yourself that you are is enough, people gravitate towards that. I never once in the competition was someone I’m not. I can go away proud of that, that I kept true to who I was.”
Speaking about the show, he admitted that he had to become a lot more “vulnerable” than he ever had.
“The stripped down, vulnerable version that second-guesses himself and isn’t always perfect and doesn’t always know what he’s doing. That’s a side that I probably was shielding in The Apprentice, or shielding just in life. You can’t do that, there’s no hiding in a show like this,” he confessed.

Reflecting on his time on the show, he tells us that he had no idea what he was getting into.
“To be honest, I had no idea what to expect coming into this. I kept saying no. I had some preconceived notions but Rebecca was not putting up with that.
“The fans of the show are so kind. You’ve got people coming up, and they’ve been watching you every week, and it means so much to get to have a chat. We’re here to entertain people and make people smile. “hen you get a chance to see that, whether it’s on the Luas, whether it’s you know outside rehearsals, whether it’s not a show that makes it all worth it all.
“The pain and the sore knees and the aches and the stressful training rehearsals. It makes it all worth it.”

So what does he plan for after Dancing with the Stars? Well he’s back in the rehearsal studio this week for the final, so he’s not free from the show just yet.
But he jokes: “As soon as the show is over, I’m going somewhere far sunnier than Dublin and I’m going to sit on a beach and sip some cocktails. If I see a single piece of sequin, I’m going to get on a flight and go somewhere else.”
