Sad news for Jonathan Rhys Meyers today, as it’s just been revealed that his grandmother, Marie O’Keefe, has passed away in Cork University Hospital.
Marie is the mother of Jonathan’s father John, and she sadly lost her life following a short illness. This is particularly devastating, as Jonathan’s mother Geri passed away 10 years ago at the young age of 51.
The Vikings star, who was reportedly extremely close with his grandmother, is flying back to Ireland this weekend to be here when Marie is laid to rest in Dublin.
It’s unsure if Jonathan’s fiancé Mara Lane will join him, as the couple just welcomed their first child last month.
