Joanne McNally to appear on The Assembly Ireland

Joanne McNally

The Assembly Ireland kicked off this week with Taoiseach Micheál Martin being the first person to face the assembly.

Next week, there will be a bit of a tone shift, as comedian Joanne McNally will be in the hot seat in the second episode.

In this bold new format, a group of autistic and neurodivergent reporters, known as ‘The Assembly’ take control, asking the questions no one else dares, and no question is off the table.

Joanne McNally faces questions on everything from dating, advice on driving, and answers deeply personal questions about her experience with an eating disorder, crossing the line in comedy, being adopted as an infant, meeting her birth parents, and even her love for pigs and the DART.

She is also asked about her love life and if she would still like to have a baby.

Speaking of her experience on the show, Joanne said: “It’s quite intense, but thoroughly enjoyable and I’ve never done anything like that before. Some of the questions I hadn’t thought about in a long time… like stuff about my job, jobs I had before or what my life would be like if I wasn’t adopted, things like that.”

We can’t wait!

The Assembly Ireland Episode Two premieres Monday, 26 January at 9pm on Virgin Media PLAY and Virgin Media One.
