Of course, we’ll all be cheering on Jessie Buckley as she is hoping to pick up her first Oscar.
She has been sweeping all the awards this year for her moving performance in Hamnet, including winning the Golden Globe, the Screen Actors Guild Award, the BAFTA and the IFTA.
Now all eyes are on the Killarney woman to pick up the Best Actress Award on Sunday night.
But no one is more excited to cheer her on than her family who jetted off to California this week.
Marina and Tim Buckley and Jessie’s sister Lily flew with Aer Lingus to Los Angeles on Wednesday morning. The special send off marked the beginning of a momentous journey as they travel to support Jessie at one of the most prestigious nights in global cinema.
Jessie isn’t the only Irish nominee! Andrew Freedman and John Kelly are also in contentation after their film Retirement Plan secured a nomination for Best Animated Short.
