Jess Redden has revealed that she tested positive for Covid whilst on her honeymoon with rugby pro, Rob Kearney. The newlyweds had just jetted off to sunnier shores after their wedding earlier this month, when the influencer shared that they were informed they were close contacts.
Speaking about their honeymoon nightmare on social media Jess shared; “I was taking a break from social and was in two minds about posting what’s been happening by like other subjects I feel it’s important to shine a light on and talk openly about.”
“After two days away we got news that we were close contacts so had to isolate then my PCR confirmed I had COVID so 10 days of isolation.”
Continuing, the pharmacist revealed that they could have waited to go on their honeymoon but that she “wanted a break from work and a holiday with my husband post wedding.”
Unfortunately the couple did not get the break they had envisioned; “Felt very emotional and certainly not the honeymoon we had planned but just glad that everyone I love is safe.”
“We’re all in unchartered territory so just trying to do the best we can. Felt awful to miss work but so many of us are in the same boat- trying to practice what I aways preach and just be gentle and kind to myself.”
The couple wed in the stunning venue of the Trump International Hotel in Doonbeg, Co Clare this month, surrounded by their friends and family.
This week she opened up about how her choice of venue for her wedding over the weekend had some special significance.
Speaking about the location on social media, she revealed that it was a place she had previously spent a lot of time with her late father.
Here’s hoping Jess and Rob get home safe, and they can celebrate properly soon!
