The couple relocated to Perth when Rob joined the Australian club Western Force last year, however Jess returned to Ireland a little earlier than Rob to finish her pharmaceutical studies.
Now, Rob is en route back to her and Jess shared her excitement on Instagram saying the “countdown is on”.
Jess recently opened up about how much she missed Rob during an Instagram Q&A, when asked if she misses her fiancé she replied, “More than anything. I rarely answer questions about my relationship on here as that’s not what I use my platform for… But of course I miss him desperately, he’s the best person to be around and I’m excited for next month when he returns.”
When she was on the way home from Australia, Jess reflected on the last few months, revealing the trip was probably the best thing that could have happened to her; “Sometimes the best detours in life are the ones we never have planned,” she said.
Jess continued, “After so much heartache and darkness I stepped on a plane into the unknown little did I know taking that step would be my best decision in life to date – our angels are always watching us and willing is to make those steps.
“Thank you Perth for helping to heal my soul, mum get the kettle on – I’m coming home.”
We can’t wait to see these two reunited!
