We’ll be seeing a lot of Jennifer Zamparelli in January when Dancing with the Stars returns to our screens.
Of course, she’s an old hand at the show at this point. However, there will be a massive shake-up this time around. Rather than her good pal Nicky Byrne by her side she will be joined by a new co-host in the form of Doireann Garrihy.
Speaking to VIP Magazine at the launch of Heineken 0.0’s Zero Explanations campaign this festive season, she admitted that Doireann is “going to be great”.
“She’s going to be great, we’re going to have a lot of fun,” she enthuses, adding, “It’s going to be very different but it was very natural and you know the chemistry was there when we did our auditioned together I suppose our chemistry test.”
She goes on to say that she has no worries about Doireann being out of her depth when she takes to the stage in January.
“She’s hungry you know that she’s going to put the work in. She’s an absolute pro so I can’t wait for this season.”
Another massive part of it is that it’s very rare to see two women presenting together.
“You never had a flagship show like this presented two women before in Ireland so it is a big deal. But Doireann got this job because she was the best person who auditioned, not because she has a certain body part. I don’t want to take anything away from her and her talent,” she adds.
Jennifer is clearly the biggest fan of Dancing with the Stars as she gushes that she’s enjoying every moment from rehearsals to wardrobe fittings.
“The excitement of live telly it’s just magic so it’s great to be part of it and I can’t wait to get going.”
While she can’t wait to present the show with Doireann there is one drawback – the outfits.
She laughs that their stylist Fiona Fagan is already all go to, trying to find the perfect ensembles for both Jennifer and Doireann.
“Fiona is already prepping the outfit she’s mad excited to style the two of us together so it’s all systems go I mean this is a really busy time.”
“It’s a big job for Fiona, poor Fiona, she’s sweating she’s so early in her prepped this year because she’s like ‘Oh no, I have two women that not only have to look good on their own but have to complement each other’ and you know it’s a big job for her.“
