Irish miliner Jennifer Wrynne was diagnosed with breast cancer this year.
She received the diagnosis just three months after welcoming her fourth child, Amelia Rose.
Jennifer is also a mother to four-year-old Alex and two-year-old twins Isabella and Amber with her husband Colm.
She explained that she discovered a lump while showering and mentioned it to the nurse later that day at Amelia Rose’s two month injection.

However, the nurse explained that post-partum lumps are “very common”.
Talking to Instagram, she shared a video about her diagnosis, she said: “I had absolutely no worries, no concern. I did not think anything bad at all. Nothing sinister crossed my mind.”
When she got an ultrasound on the bump which she described as half a grape directly under the skin on her breast.
“He was so lovely and so professional and so caring, but he wasn’t telling me, ‘You’ve nothing to worry about’, it was clear that there was something,” she explained.

“So I went outside to the other side of the hospital or the clinic to get my mammogram done and the biopsy. And it was just incredible how fast this was all happening.
“And I had the baby with me at this stage, because as I said, I just thought I was going down to get a quick examination and then I was going to go and have a nice lunch with the baby for the day.”
She went on to say: “His exact words to me were ‘we must wait for the biopsy results to come back, but your lump has every single characteristic of cancer’.”
She admitted that it was “utter torture” waiting for the results saying that she “cried her eyes dry”.

“By the time I got to the consultant’s office and he said to me, Look we’re gonna cut the chase here your biopsy results came back with abnormal cells and we found cancer’, and I didn’t even flinch.
“I didn’t even cry at that stage because I worked myself up all week and the unknown was the killer for me. It was like this weird relief almost came over me and I know that that’s not the right word but this relief that at least now the uncertainty and the unknown is over and now I can put it they can put a plan in place for me and I can just do the plan.”
Jennifer underwent a lumpectomy and will now start treatment for cancer in the coming weeks. She urged her followers to check their breasts and be vigilant.
