One of Ireland’s fastest rising female stand-up comedians Joanne Mc Nally has been named as Jennifer Maguire’s replacement on Republic of Telly.
Jen announced she was leaving earlier this year after seven years on the show, but will be back for a spin off series with comedian Bernard O’Shea for ‘Bridget and Eamon’, which follows the “quintessential Irish couple”.
STELLAR Shine Award nominee, Joanne will be taking her place, and fans of the show need not worry as she has plenty of experience on the comedy scene.
She previously starred in the live comedy show Singlehood which sold out across a multitude of venues in Ireland, and co-wrote a stand up show with PJ Gallagher called Separated at Birth.
Joanne’s already settling into the Republic of Telly life and admitted, “I’ve already been painted bright green and squished into various wigs and uncomfortable situations.”
Over on Twitter, the praise for the new presenter was great!
The show kicks off again on Monday the 19th October – we’ll certainly be tuning in.
