John and Edwards Grimes, better known as the irrepressible twins Jedward, have been lined up to model in this month’s Jean Paul Gaultier fashion show, according to the Irish Sun newspaper.
The legendary French designer, favoured by such stars as Madonna, has apparently asked Jedward to model at the Life Ball in Vienna on May 16th., a major event for which Charlize Theron, Mary J Blige and Dita von Teese are already confirmed to attend.
It won’t be John and Edward’s first experience of modeling, as they have previously graced the catwalk at the Milan Fashion Show in 2013.
Indeed, when they were being managed by Louis Walsh, the great man himself suggested that their future probably lay not so much in music, but in TV presenting or the world of fashion, as our exclusive photos from VIP photoshoots with the twins support.
If Jedward do indeed get to strut their stuff in Vienna, it will be a welcome publicity boost for the Kildare-born twins, whose pop career has stalled somewhat since splitting from Louis Walsh, and whose movie career seems to be be confined to cameo appearances in the Sharknado movie franchise.
And who knows, maybe a career in fashion design beckons at some stage in the future?
