Jamie-Lee O’Donnell is so proud to be part of the Irish TV brigade.

From her big break in Derry Girls to her most recent role in Leonard and Hungry Paul, she is really living the dream.

When VIP Magazine caught up with her at the IFTA Awards in Dublin, she revealed what she is currently watching.

“I’m really enjoying How to Get to Heaven from Belfast. I’m only on episode five but I absolutely love it,” she confesses.

Of course, she previously worked with Lisa McGee on Derry Girls and her co-star Saoirse Monica Jackson also appears in the new Netflix show.

“I’m delighted to see it. Delighted for Lisa’s new project. Delighted for all of them. I think it’s a cracker show. I can’t wait to see the end of it,” she says.

She jokingly adds: “I’m gutted that I had to come here and couldn’t see the end of it. Everyone’s talking about it!”

While we don’t want to spoil anything, but that ending has us begging for a second season. And while Jamie hasn’t finished just yet, she says: “Fingers crossed it goes for loads and loads and loads.”

Of course, Jamie is working tirelessly herself on her new show, Leonard and Hungry Paul, which came out in October.

“I’m obviously very, very proud of Leonard and Hungry Paul. It’s something that has been so close to my heart,” she says with a smile.

“Fingers crossed we go again. But I’m really delighted. You can’t really go wrong with Irish TV.”

We have to agree.
