Jamie Dornan never disappoints with his films, bar Wild Mountain Thyme, but we don’t count that one!
So we were absolutely delighted to learn that he had nabbed an iconic role.
Jamie will reunite with his Belfast co-stars, Kenneth Branagh and Jude Hill for the upcoming Agatha Christie adaptation, A Haunting in Venice.
The Hollywood Reporter states that along with directing, Belfast-born Kenneth will once again reprise his role as master sleuth Hercule Poirot in the 2023 film.

And clearly, his time with Jamie made an impression on him as he will be coming on board for the third film in this franchise alongside Jude, who played Jamie’s son in Belfast.
The upcoming film is based on Agatha Christie’s 1969 book Hallowe’en Party, A Haunting in Venice. It will also star Tina Fey, Kelly Reilly and Michelle Yeoh, to name just a few!
The synopsis for A Haunting in Venice reads: “Now retired and living in self-imposed exile in the world’s most glamorous city, Poirot reluctantly attends a séance at a decaying, haunted palazzo.
“When one of the guests is murdered, the detective is thrust into a sinister world of shadows and secrets.”
Kenneth also shared his delight surrounding the news, saying in a statement: “This is a fantastic development of the character Hercule Poirot, as well as the Agatha Christie franchise.”
While we don’t know who Jamie will be playing just yet, we’ll definitely be there to see it when it hits cinemas.
