Jamie Dornan has opened up about his role as Paul Spector in BBC drama The Fall.
The actor appeared on The Late Late Show last night with his Anthropoid co-star Cillian Murphy to discuss their new film. While there he revealed that The Fall was the biggest role he had ever had, and from there his career really took off.
“The professional landscape of my life totally altered after doing that show.
“I had eight pretty barren years where I didn’t really do a great deal, but to be honest with you I wasn’t quite sure that I wanted to do it at that stage, I was mucking around doing other stuff.
“I was in a band, I was modelling, I was just being in my twenties and enjoying life and just being really pleased that I didn’t work in an office.
“So things were going the way they were going and then The Fall came along and I was considered for the job. I had never worked for the BBC before, never mind for a lead in anything or a role with that kind of scope,” he said.
While on the chat show last night Cillian Murphy admitted to Ryan Tubridy that he is obsessed with the drama series, which is about to air it’s third and final season.
The Peaky Blinders star said that he binge watched the drama prior to working with Jamie.
“Myself and my wife are obsessed with the show The Fall that Jamie is in, and he’s so good in it,” he said.
As are we Cillian, as are we.
