Could we be seeing an Irish Bond in future?
According to reports we just might!
Northern Irish actor Jamie Dornan, best known for playing Christian Grey in the 50 Shades Of Grey series is reportedly in the running to take over from Daniel Craig as the new James Bond.
Craig has been James Bond since 2006 and has recently finished his reign playing the iconic character.
This wouldn’t be the first time fans get to see an Irish Bond as Pierce Brosnan famously took on the role four times between 1995 and 2002.
A source told OK! Magazine that Dornan, along with Bridgerton star Régé-Jean Page and Superman actor Henry Cavill are the top three contenders in line for the role.
The source continued, “Producers are proceeding carefully because so much depends on who they choose…”
They also hinted that Dornan’s previous experience in a large franchise may be important to the producers when choosing the role.
“He’s already shown he has what it takes to see a franchise through to success with Fifty Shades of Grey…” they said.
We would love to see an Irish actor take on such an iconic role once again!
