The Perfect Couple star Jack Reynor is embarking on a thrilling new adventure, having secured a role in Irish director Lee Cronin’s reboot of the iconic horror classic The Mummy.
The movie, which is due to begin filming in Ireland next week is scheduled to hit cinemas on 17 April 2026.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Irish actor is understood to be playing “a husband and father who runs afoul of supernaturally sinister forces”.
However, the remaining plot details are being kept tightly under wraps.

Previously speaking to the US entertainment trade publication, Cronin said the film “will be unlike any Mummy movie you ever laid eyeballs on before.
“I’m digging deep into the earth to raise something very ancient and very frightening.”
Safe to say we’re intrigued!
Past blockbuster versions of The Mummy have featured Brendan Fraser in 1999 and Tom Cruise in 2017, each achieving different levels of box office success.

Regarding Jack’s work, many people will recognise him from his leading roles in Transformers: Age of Extinction, John Carney’s Sing Street and Ari Aster’s Midsommar.
Most recently, he was part of the ensemble cast of Netflix’s high-profile glossy crime series The Perfect Couple, which debuted last autumn.
Call us biased, but we can’t wait to see Jack dive into this thrilling new project!
