Joanne Larby’s ex-boyfriend has opened up about their recent break-up.
Fitness coach Paul Strandell responded to rumours and questions from followers about their split.
The trainer who runs the Bodybycontrol Instagram page revealed he’s gained loads of new followers since Joanne announced she was moving home from England, just days after she moved in with him.
“I’ve had a bunch of messages, some insulting and some quite nice. It’s a tough time, there’s no two ways around it,” he said in a lengthy video.
“There isn’t really much gossip so you’re not going to get any from me.”
He also addressed rumours that he may have been unfaithful.
“The most common one is ‘did I cheat’ or ‘did I do something horrendous’ and no, there is no big horrible shocking revelation or anything like that. Some things just come to an end.
“It’s been a painful and sh*t time. I’m not going to talk about it either. So if you’re here because you want gossip or some painful explanation or tragic story, this isn’t the place for that.”
He finished by thanking followers for reaching out to him, describing them as lovely.
“It means an awful lot,” he said.
Rumours of their breakup speculated after Joanne, aka The Makeup Fairy uploaded a vague post about moving home.
The couple had moved in together two weeks earlier.
Joanne’s post said: “Due to an incredibly difficult personal situation I’ve decided to move home to Ireland.
“I won’t be discussing details at any point and will be taking some time off social media. I hope you can all respect I’m a human and not just a blogger throughout this time.”
Joanne has been dating boyfriend Paul Strandell for over a year.
Fans assumed the pair had split after they unfollowed one another on social media.
