What a night that would have been!
Liam Gallagher tweeted his disappointment that Electric Picnic will not go ahead this year and it seems to tell us he was going to be performing.
In the tweet the Oasis star said, “Gutted to hear electric picnic has been cancelled was looking forward to seeing my Irish brothers n sisters and my cousin Guinness,”.

Fans were left disappointed after this announcement sharing their thoughts in the comments, one fan said, “Does that mean you were meant to play? The news is even more hurtful now”, while another said, “Im devastated live 10 minutes up the road from where EP is held. I knew you were gona play it. Im heartbroken. Please do it next year”.
We wonder if Liam will return for the comeback of EP next September (please god).
The music festival, which takes place in Stradbally, Co Laois every year, had their license refused by the local council this week. The decision, which has been seen by many as controversial, was down to safety concerns.
Laois county council have said it’s because of “the most up-to-date public health advice made available to the council by the HSE.”
“Furthermore it is noted that under current Government measures for the management of Covid-19 events of this nature are restricted of 500 people only.”
