Irish television presenter Angela Scanlon is being tipped to become a contestant on this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.
The 33-year-old, who is best known for presenting hit show Robot Wars, has been linked to the show after impressing Strictly bosses.
A source told The Sun, “The BBC always look after their own, and they see Angela as a rising star whose stock they can grow even more by putting her on Strictly.
“She really impressed on The One Show and has done a great job on Robot Wars.”
Although there are no official names signed up for the popular celebrity dance competition yet, a host of famous faces have been linked to this year’s show, including Dame Joan Collins, Good Morning Britain presenter Charlotte Hawkins, Olympic gymnast Max Whitlock, footballer Frank Lampard, Olympic gold-medal winner Jessica Ennis-Hill and Gogglebox stars Steph and Dom Parker.
We wonder if Angela will be hitting BBC screens this year?
