This week, The Golden Globes nominations were announced.
The film Shape of Water has the most nominations with seven, while The Post and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri have six each.
It’s a great year for Irish talent too, with six nominations for Irish creatives.
Irish artists have been nominated in 6 categories at the 2018 Golden Globes.
Saoirse Ronan has been nominated for Best Actress in a movie for the critially acclaimed Ladybird.
Daniel Day Lewis is also up for Best Actor for what may be his final film as he announced his retirement, Phantom Thread.
Catriona Balfe is up for Best Actress in a TV Drama for her role in Outlander.

Martin McDonagh is nominated for three awards, Best Screenplay, Best Director and Best Picture for Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri.
The Breadwinner is also up for Best Animated Film which was directed by Cork’s Nora Twomey.
