Congratulations are in order for Irish International canoeist Jenny Egan-Simmons who is expecting her first child.
She shared a video of her celebrating her birthday to announce the good news.
In the clip, she can be seen swapping a glass of wine for a baby bottle and a newborn nappy.
Her husband, Jon Simmons, then comes into frame to show off ultrasound pictures of their baby.

Jenny also included pictures of herself and Jon out on the water in their canoes with the scan pictures.
Another picture shows a tiny Babygro with the words “Born 2026” embroidered on it.
“Thanks so much to everyone for the kind birthday messages, it has been a fab day,” she captioned the post.
“This year is extra special as we are so excited to say that we have a little one on the way, due at the end of August.
“We are both over the moon to start this new chapter and continuing our adventures together with our little one.

Jenny and Jon tied the knot in 2023 in Wicklow’s Brooklodge surrounded by family and friends.
