Love Island is back for the summer and the first coupling ups have taken place.
Irish beauty, Yewande Biala found chemistry with Liverpudlian firefighter Michael Griffiths on last night’s show.
During the initial couple up, Yewande stood forward for Joe but lost him to surfer girl Lucie.
While Yewande could’t decide who she liked during the coupling up, leaving her as the last girl standing, fate intervened and she was matched with fellow last-man-standing, Michael.
Initially put off by the 27 year olds ‘bad boy’ persona, sparks soon began to fly between the two as they discovered they both have a background in science.
While getting to know one another, Yewande says: “I’m a scientist. A biologist. I studied a bio-technology degree.”
Michael replies: “That’s quite interesting because I did bio medical science at uni.”
Speaking about Michael Yewande later revealed: “I am so shocked to find out he did science as well, I wouldn’t really go for him but he is surprising.”
Having found mutual ground, the science lovers seem stable for now, and we are hoping that a sweet romance will continue to blossom between the two.
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on Virgin Media Two.
