The Irish stars were out in force at last night’s BAFTA Awards and although they may not have been the recipients of many awards, they certainly did win at the style stakes.
Laura Whitmore looked stunning in a floor length black jumpsuit on the red carpet. The blonde beauty also set tongues wagging when by responding with laughter when asked if she planned on co-hosting the X-Factor with Dermot O’Leary when the show returns later this year – just give us an answer, Laura!
Fashionista Angela Scanlon was presenting live from the BAFTA red carpet for the event in a detailed, baby pink dress. The star was definitely one of the style winners of the night and she seemed to have a great time, Tweeting, “Thanks to everyone who watched us live on the red carpet!!! That was FUN. #BAFTATV”
However, one of the most memorable stars of the night was definitely our very own Graham Norton, who was hosting the ceremony. The funny man received rave reviews on the night but fans were less than impressed that he didn’t win the ‘Best Entertainment Performance’ he was nominated for.
Irish actress Sharon Horgan won the award for ‘Female performance in a comedy programme’ for her show ‘Catastrophe’, while Aidan Turner was the talk of the night, having debuted a man bun and seriously bushy beard. Oh, and he went home with an award for Poldark.
