The Irish really are taking over the globe!

Irish actor Thaddea Graham is set to join the cast of one of Netflix’s biggest shows, Sex Education.

There have been a lot of shakeups in the cast recently with the likes of Simone Ashley, who joined the cast of Bridgerton as Kate Sharma, chosing to depart from the teen drama.

Thaddea, who was raised in Belfast, will be joining as a mysterious character for the new season of the show.

Thaddea previously appeared in shows like Curfew, The Letter for the King The Irregulars, Us, and Doctor Who.

She isn’t the only person joining the cast, as Schitt’s Creek Dan Levy will also take on the role of Thomas Molloy, a famous author and Maeve’s US course tutor at her Ivy League college.

We literally cannot wait to see how he brings his own unique flavour to the cast!

Marie Reuther and newcomers Felix Mufti, Anthony Lexa, Alexandra James, Reda Elazouar, Bella Maclean and Imani Yahshua are also joining.

Filming is currently underway until 2023.

The synopsis for the season reads: “Following the closure of Moordale Secondary, Otis and Eric now face a new frontier – their first day at Cavendish Sixth Form College. Otis is nervous about setting up his new clinic, whilst Eric is praying they won’t be losers again. But Cavendish is a culture shock for all the Moordale students – they thought they were progressive but this new college is another level.

“There’s daily yoga in the communal garden, a strong sustainability vibe and a group of kids who are popular for being… kind?! Viv is totally thrown by the college’s student-led, non-competitive approach, while Jackson is still struggling to get over Cal. Aimee tries something new by taking an Art A Level and Adam grapples with whether mainstream education is for him.

“Over in the US, Maeve is living her dream at prestigious Wallace University, being taught by cult author Thomas Molloy. Otis is pining after her, whilst adjusting to not being an only child at home, or the only therapist on campus.”
