According to streamer Paramount+, Dexter: Original Sin will follow Dexter in 1991 Miami as he begins his life as killer.
“When his bloodthirsty urges can’t be ignored any longer, Dexter must learn to channel his inner darkness,” the synopsis reads.
“With the guidance of his father, Harry he adopts a Code designed to help him find and kill people who deserve to be eliminated from society without getting on law enforcements’ radar. This is a particular challenge for young Dexter as he begins a forensics internship at the Miami Metro Police Department.”
Christian Slater will play Dexter’s adoptive father and homicide detective.
Patrick Gibson is best known for playing Nikolai Lantsov in the fantasy Netflix series Shadow and Bone, and he has also appeared in The Tudors and The OA.
He was awarded the Rising Star award at the Irish Film and Television Awards in 2017.
There has been no release date for the series just yet, but we’re waiting with bated breath.
