Another medal for Ireland in the 2024 Paris Olympics and we couldn’t be more proud!

Daire Lynch and Philip Doyle secured Ireland’s first rowing medal on Thursday morning.

The lads came third in the men’s Double Sculls final.

They came in behind Romania, which took the gold, and the Netherlands, who took the silver.

It was an incredible time of 6:13:14 that saw them secure their bronze ahead of USA and New Zealand.

The event took place at the Vaires-sur-Marne rowing venue just outside Paris.

And we’re looking forward to even more Olympic finals for the rowing.

Tomorrow morning, Ross Corrigan and Nathan Timoney will compete in the final of the Men’s Pair.

We will also be glued to the telly to see the defending Olympic champions Paul O’Donovan and Fintan McCarthy as they are set to defend their title in the Lightweight Men’s Double Sculls.

Daire Lynch and Philip Doyle have secured Ireland’s fourth medal at these games.

Comhghairdeas lads!
