The Ireland AM presenter is expecting her first child with husband Bernard O’Toole around Christmas time.
Ger took to Instagram to share the news, with an anniversary post celebrating herself and Bernard’s fifth wedding anniversary, she also mentioned the addition to their family.
The caption read, “Celebrating 5 years of marriage to my favourite person and all going well the arrival of another favourite at Christmas 👶🏻🤰❤️💙”.
Ger told RSVP Live, “We are both absolutely over the moon, we’re so extremely grateful and feel so lucky to be expecting. We’re really on cloud nine and both so excited.”
She also gave an update as to how she’s been feeling during pregnancy.
“I was really sick with hyperemesis for the first few months of the pregnancy but thankfully that stage seems to have eased now and I’m feeling great and it will be all worth it,” she said.
“We haven’t found out the sex of the baby, we’re going to leave it as a Christmas surprise….There are few surprises in life and as long as the baby is healthy and safe that’s all that matters.
“Our family, friends and work colleagues are so excited about the news….We have been overwhelmed and totally blown away by the love, good wishes and support from everyone,” she added.
