Imelda May and Darrel Higham recently announced their split after 13 years together, however the pair are maintaining a close friendship and professional relationship, as they’ve been in studio over the past couple of weeks recording some new music.
The singer has been hanging out with Darrel, and laying down some backing vocals for his upcoming album, Hell’s Hotel.
During their break-up, the pair admitted that they were going to stay close to each other, and it seems they are doing just that!
Posting a pic of the smiling friends on Facebook, Darrel said, “Another productive day done on the new album. Wonderful bass playing by young David and some aspiring young singer with golden tonsils that performed stunning backing vocals on four songs.”
He then joked, “I think she’s got a future.”
Darrel also posted some behind the scenes clips of her time in the studio, and had nothing to praise for the singer and his ex-wife.
Captioning the clip, Darrel said, “Imelda’s in today to do her BVs and a fabulous job she’s doing. Here’s a snippet of Hell’s Hotel.”
