Imelda May has announced two Irish tour dates ahead of her ‘Life, Love, Flesh, Blood’ album release.
Last month Imelda released ‘Call Me’, the first single, and opening track, from her new album, which is due for release 31st March 2017.
Imelda has admitted that in the past she would sometimes “hide things in my songs and twist them around.” but in this album she tells it exactly how it is.
The singer will also be showing off her brand new look on tour, “I always loved the Fifties rockabilly style but there was a point where I felt I was almost dressing up as Imelda May.” she said. “It was as if I was getting into character for a gig. And I didn’t want to do that anymore. This is me. I’m so proud of this album and can’t wait to bring it out on the road to you”
She’ll play Belfast’s Waterfront Hall on May 27th and Dublin’s Bord Gais Energy Theatre on May 29th and 30th.
Tickets for all three dates go on sale next Friday, December 9th at 9am.
We predict these dates are going to sell out very quickly, so make sure to be up and ready next Friday morning!
