Louise Cooney has revealed that she is loving her life as a single gal, months after splitting from her boyfriend.
The top fashion blogger and Gerard Mullen split in October after dating for over two years.
Speaking back in October at the time of the break-up, she said: “Yes, we have broken up. I’m sure most people have been through situations like this before and know how tough it is so hopefully you can respect that I won’t be going into any personal details or anything. I share a lot of my life online and I love sharing a chatting with you all, but breakups are never easy so I’m going to keep it private and not talk about it online if that’s ok.”
Now almost six months on and Louise is thoroughly enjoying her new-found freedom.
“I am, and I am really busy with work, which is my absolute focus at the minute,” she told VIP Magazine in the March issue.
“I’m giving it everything I can! My thinking is that I’m in my mid-20s now, and this is my time to work on my career, travel, hang out with friends and do things I won’t be able to do forever. So, I’m not worried about meeting someone. I’m just focusing on myself, my friends and making memories with them,” she added.
The Limerick fashionista went on to explain that although she’s not in a romantic relationship at the moment, she was wonderful relationships with her friends and family.
“Friendship is so important to me. I suppose, looking back, I’m glad I do have so many memories with them and that no matter what relationship I’ve been in, we’ve never drifted apart or lost touch. I’ve always made sure to make time with them. Over Christmas, with some other friends that are single, we were joking that we were like each others boyfriends,” she laughed.
“Meeting up all the time, messaging each other. When we’re together it’s very much a love-fest!”
