Model and beauty/fashion blogger Pippa O’Connor has posted an adorable special birthday message to her son Ollie, who turned two over the weekend.
The doting mum wrote in her latest blog post on pippa.ie that just over two years ago she was “scared and anxious of the unknown” as she prepared to give birth for the first time.
She revealed that the last thing her beloved mother Louise, who died suddenly last October, told her before she entered the hospital was “Be brave, you’re capable of anything”, which made her think ‘If everyone else can do it, I can do it’.
Pippa wrote that in the time since Ollie’s birth, time has passed all too quickly and the arrival of her little boy has completely changed her life.
“Pre-motherhood I was very care free, unorganised, somewhat selfish and probably a little unsure of myself if I’m honest,” she said.
“He has made me realise what’s really important in life – yes, I love fashion and beauty as that’s what I do but none of that actually matters, they’re just things I enjoy. Ultimately all that matters are the people you love. It’s taught me how to multitask! It’s shown me patience I never knew I had – dealing with a toddler tantrum is hard going.”
She continued: “He makes my heart pound every time I look at his little face. I look at him and think what did I do to deserve you.”
Pippa also wrote about Ollie’s new “fun” age and how she particularly enjoys when her son says “there she is” when he sees his TV presenter dad Brian Ormond.
“I wish you could stay small forever!” she added, wishing her “animal loving little monkey” a very happy birthday.
