Cork blogger Lisa Jordan has shared a personal post about her breast explant journey, warning women to think hard when choosing to have cosmetic surgery.
Lisa, 34, chose to remove her breast implants earlier this month in a bid to put an end to the physical and emotional trauma they have caused her through the years.
Speaking on her implant surgery she said: “The first year or two I was so happy, I felt more secure but after that I began to really dislike them.”
Opening up about the physical and mental trauma she faced following her procedure she continued:
“They had such a negative impact on my mental and physical health…I just want to be truthful about my journey and say honestly, “I WISH I NEVER GOT THEM.
Sharing a word of warning for other women contemplating going under the knife for a cosmetic procedure, the mum of two confessed that she hopes sharing her story will make someone think twice about their own procedure.
“I really feel that my story could make someone think twice about changing themselves.”
She revealed, “I don’t want girls to look at me and think oh I love her boobs, I’m going to get mine done, when the truth is I absolutely hated them. I wanted them gone for the last decade.”
Updating her followers regularly since having her implants removed, Lisa shared that she already feels mentally and physically better post surgery.
“I wish I had removed my implants sooner… the difference it has made to my mind, body and over all being is just amazing.”
