Ed Sheeran is ready to rock Croke Park tonight, in the first of two Dublin gigs this weekend.
The singer began rehearsals in the stadium last night, and posted a quick selfie to share his excitement with his fans.
“Can’t wait for this weekends shows at Croke Park stadium. I love me some Ireland!” he told his 4.3 million followers.
The stadium set-up is still underway, but Ed couldn’t look happier at the thoughts of playing in front of 80,000 people tonight.
Ed also had a warm up set this week, with a secret gig in Whelan’s.
He arrived in Dublin on Wednesday and a small group of lucky fans and industry insiders were invited to listen to the singer in an intimate environment.
Among the concert-goers was Eoghan McDermott, who had a ball at the show.
The RTE star tweeted, “Little sneaky Ed gig in Dublin tonight. Croker will be SPECTACULAR. Bring lots of air in your lungs!”
There’s plenty of famous Irish faces set to make an appearance at the Croke Park gigs this weekend, and we wonder if Louise Johnson will be among the group….
Meanwhile, it’s emerged Kodaline are tipped to duet with Ed on stage tonight. We can’t contain our excitement any longer!
