Irish actor Aidan Turner has slated Strictly Come Dancing, admitting that he’d never take part in the show, or even watch it.
Despite having a love of dancing, the Poldark star has revealed that even if show bosses were interested in featuring him in the competition, he’d have to turn it down.
“They haven’t asked me, no. And just for the record, I wouldn’t do it,” he told Radio Times.
“I don’t know if I’m eligible because I used to compete at an amateur level. I think you need to be like, a raw beginner.”
The Dubliner doesn’t even have an interest in watching the show, admitting, “No, I hate it. God, I hate watching it now. I can’t stand it really.”
Meanwhile, Irish television presenter Angela Scanlon has been tipped to become a contestant on this year’s Strictly Come Dancing after impressing Strictly bosses.
