It was definitely a shock when Michael Fry was the first person to leave Dancing with the Stars on Sunday night.
In the earliest ever eviction, someone went home on the second week of the show.
This year, it just so happened to be comedian Michael Fry.
Speaking to VIP Magazine after the episode, he admitted that he is not letting the shocking exit get to him.

“I’m good, I’m good. You go into this preparing to go out, no matter how good you think you are,” he shares.
“I had imagined the situation happening; it has come to pass, and that’s fine with me. I know that I gave everything in both dances and I had a great time doing it, so no regrets whatsoever.”
He explains that he is happy with his time on the show, despite it being cut short.
“I got to do Latin and ballroom so I got to do a good spread of different things. I feel like I’ve had a full experience even though I’m out in week one.”

Despite being used to performing in front of people as a stand-up, he tells us that Dancing wiht the Stars was “much scarier” than he expected.
“On the first show, I was so frightened, I’ve never been so terrified in my entire life. If I thought stand-up was scary, dancing if you’re not a dancer is much scarier.”
However, he is keeping positive, saying: “I think it was important that I learned something. I never thought I’d win, but it was important to enjoy it. The lesson I’ve learned is to commit to things. You have to put your all into stuff, or it’s not going to be good.”
Dancing with the Stars airs Sundays at 6:30pm on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player
